Selby is a New York City based transportation company that provides school bus service to both public and private schools through its 250 vehicle fleet.
Key challenges for Selby’s business were to be able to tell parents about a school bus location, ensure passenger safety and optimize drivers’ working time after school drop offs.
With less than a year from the implementation of the TomTom fleet management solution, Selby’s director, Lee Selby states: “I can check routes, drivers and vehicle locations on my iPhone - I’m in touch with what’s happening all the time. With that knowledge, we’ve been able to consolidate routes and improve the way we do things. We expect these savings to continue to grow”.
Also Selby is now able to monitor driving behavior and take corrective measures, reduce fuel costs, optimize routes and increase customer satisfaction.
